The old ‘pulling a tree behind the truck’ was giving me inconsistent results for a smooth driveway…so I made a new driveway grader from parts…over the summer I will make something more stable..
..and around 40 atv’s in the woods for the annual ‘wild meat’ party..had some amazing Bacon wrapped pineapple duck!

..and with the recent storms A* and I thought the Japanese maple should have been sticking up…there was a reason it wasn’t sticking out of the snow! Drat!

..and the results from the new groomer..works well..but it did take over a week to get the driveway back into shape where we could bring the car up..warm weather kept the snow all Shitty and it would’t settle..but now we are almost into mud season so we will lose the driveway for a couple of more weeks soon too…boo!

bahahahahah! i am sitting here reading this post – jambaloney is at his computer. i say “babe, did you see egb’s latest post with his new driveway grader?”. jambaloney leans over “no, i haven’t seen it!”. i show him. he hasn’t read the post. first words out of his mouth “well, it’s better than the trees!”. and then we both burst out laughing! excellent ingenuity on your part, buddy, just excellent!

Looks good… I’ve dragged the springs from an old mattress around our garden before, behind the mower, with some rocks on top, and that works pretty good to spread compost.

That sucks about the tree LOL. I guess Loki will finish it off completely when the snow gets lower?
How did you fare with the most recent bout of bad weather (hell, that’s like the entire winter)?
Nice kludge on the driveway groomer LOL. Our driveway looks like shit now too. Lots of slush that’s hard enough to keep our tire tracks, and then freezes over night, so the next morning you’re riding rails. Did I mention I’m finding this winter long yet?
Anyhow, hang in there. Spring’s around the corner and then you can set about resurrecting that Japanese maple.
