a bridge to nowhere…

23 Sep

..one of those mornings where the water is warmer than the air..fairly common this time of year. I know what you were thinking..a ‘bridge to nowhere’..it sounds like reading the repeat posts on this blog all the time! hehe

a gloomy time of year..We are at the point where we leave in the morning for work and it is still mostly dark and the chickens have not even come out of the coop yet..and the sun set at 7:20pm last night..it made me want to cry…especially since I need to do some work in the evenings for the next month or so. Ah well..it is Friday so how bad can life be!

That’s a nifty picture of the bridge, just disappears in the fog.

It’s getting cooler here as well. I’m welcoming it so far, though. It sure beats the sauna this summer was here. Pretty soon I better clean out the chimney and bring a load of wood over to the house, though.

Yep..it’s getting near that time…well November is when we fire up the woodstove but the prep for easy wood collection is ongoing. Nothing worse then having to dig down 4 feet of snowdrift to get the edge of ripped tarp that has frozen to every piece of wood. Not this year.

Really cool picture! I drove through our first patch of fog for the winter last week. We have our stove going with some scrap wood at the moment. It’s not “cold” but it’s chilly so it feels nice. :) I need to get on the ball and have some wood delivered. We don”t have enough for winter yet.

yeah, a neat shot for sure..still no woodstove for us yet..we use it hardcore for 6 months so we like to put it off as long as we can. More wood for us nexxt week!
