Spring is arriving…?

22 Mar

..snow at this time of year last year and a high of 27c forecast for today( our old regional high has 10c in 1979 for today)…what the freek? Is this global warming or something out of the ordinary..if this keeps up there is going to be trouble..not here though cause it is usually a soggy disaster! hehe..Looking forward to the warm weather to dry up this muddy driveway of is starting to bounce back into shape now so another week and we should be able to drive all the way up again.

..everything is sprouting..I think it was May before the shrubs were starting to sprout last year..April last year was the worst..wet and no sun at all for literally 5 weeks.

..and we unwrapped the Japanese Maple..I HOPE we are done for heavy snowfall..but you never know. UNder the burlap was a drunken rabbit..too much sake!

..we don’t need 27c weather everyday..I would settle for an April with 6-7c and almost no spinach weather!!

same here – going up to 20c today and last year there was till tons of snow around!! the plastic porch was 30c at 9:00 AM !! had to open the screen doors!

i am with you though, i would like “warm enough” days and lots of sun all spring… last year was gray and the plants suffered bigtime!!

i do hope that “driveway” of yours dries up soon, nothing like a giant mud puddle to take the piss outta yer day!

cheers and happy spring to you both!!

The warm weather here was nice for a while… but I kinda miss having those long boring days of winter. 27 c and humid is way too warm.

My ideal temperature is 21c..not too hot and not too cold. Driving in the car and I got out and my back was soaked with sweat…time to get the motorcycle out of the shed…but then again they are forecasting some snow for next week now!..gotta love those 35c 3 day swings..28c to -7c..boooo..but then again the weather here has never been the picture of consistancy! Hehe

I’m with you…21 is my magic number too. It was really warm here last week too, mid 20’s, and everything started to bud. It was a bit disconcerting. Of course the maple-syrup people get all in a lather, but every year it’s the same story…anything to get the public all hepped up. We’ve got flurries in the forecast for tonight, so it ain’t over ’til it’s over.

I brief reprieve here too…a carrot in front of our noses until summer! It WAS nice to go outside at 11pm in shorts and a tshirt..and eat outside after bbq’ing though!..and beer just tastes better when it is hot! Hehe

Lee and I got sunburned in D.C. in March is was so bloody hot. We packed winter clothes for our trip and ended up wishing we had shorts a lot of the time. Your bunny has it right. With the warm weather it is time to PARTY! :)

Oh no. Warm beer all summer?!? Never say it is so. lol Here I thought you would have an ice box instead. Lee would still like one of those over a fridge. I saw some old rock pantry houses (can’t remember the technical name) built over small streams while we were traveling. I thought those were really cool but we don’t have a stream going through our property.

warm beer is still better than no beer…truthfully we do have a propane fridge I just have not had it hooked up yet…but it is full of beer and diet pepsi! hehe. Yeah, I have seen those before, I have also looked at using our dug well as a cooler as the water is always cold, even with 30c weather..but I am too scared of introducing things into the water..although our water would proabably taste better with a 2 day old poutine flavor. Water, this is poutine. Poutine, this is water…wow, having said it I am less scared already!
