Book Clearance

22 Jun

..even with my kindle readers we seem to keep amassing books..if amassing is a word. A local 2nd hand bookstore has an amazing selection and with a $2 price tag it makes them hard to pass-up..so out with the read and in with the new..

..or we start refilling with the 2 massive boxes of books in the attic..the other keepers.

Once we actually put up our other brackets we should have ample room…for more clutter. Hehe..we have a pack-rat mentallity but have space issues but we have gotten much better than when we had a house that was 3 times bigger with a double shed.

I like real books and never thought I would go to a kindle..but I do like the kindle..ever read a thick book and get near the end and you practically have to break the book spine to read the inside parts of a page? ..or have your hands go to sleep when reading due to the weight of the book?..I don’t have these issues to much anymore.

Yeah, A* and I were just planning past night for more bookshelves! soon!

yo buddy – amassing is a word – score for you – bahahahahahah!

    2. To accumulate or assemble a large quantity of: “The astronomers had amassed compelling evidence that the galaxies indeed were speeding away from the earth and from each other” (George Johnson).
    v.intr.
    To come together; collect.
[Middle English, to accumulate, from Old French amasser, to assemble : a-, to (from Latin ad-; see ad-) + masser, to gather together (from Latin massa, lump, mass; see mass).]
    a·massa·ble adj.
    a·masser n.
    a·massment n.”

i can’t wait until we get the bookshelves like yours up around all of the walls in the living room and the back bedroom (computer room) – then alllllllllll of my books can be available. all 500+.

i am thinking about getting a kindle! i have been reading previews of books on google books for months now. as soon as you get to the good part – they jump 20 pages. it sucks!

    your friend,

haha, perfect!..looking things up..what a novel concept! If you read google books or use project gutenhiem you might want a kobo reader which are compatable with .epub book formats..I really do like eReaders..got my mother one for Mothers day and her initial reaction was “I won’t like this..I like actual books.”..a week later she explaimed ” I love the kindle.”..text is always the same, no wierd fonts or spacings..so you are always reading a set way, which I find helps me read faster…and they are soo cheap and with 1000’s of free books online they practically pay for themselves!
