Buying for the house is the easiest ways to buy gifts! Yeah, they are neat aren’t they!

Those are some cool birthday gifts. Happy birthday A*! When I first saw the bench I expected to see “Keep Calm and Carry On” carved into the middle, but then I realized it was a chess board. Are you going to set pieces out and have weeks-long chess games where you only make one move each time you sit at the bench?

Hehe..we have other chessboards..too many actually. A* and I met at chessclub in grade 8 and we have mostly given up on chess (since it has been 25 years and she still has not beaten me)..but she has my number at mancala and dominion..which is why we don’t play those games anymore either! Hehe….but speaking of slow chess games I was thinking of building a vertical board too..to play hard pc opponents where I could look at it for a while before moving..
..but yeah, these concrete pieces are cool..We will be going back for more.
