Less Doozie Steps

12 Aug

..well we needed a soultion to our entryway issue..iit has been driving me crazy carrying ChunJae in and out of the house…and A* is away and loves suprises ( she is on a flight home as I publish this) I thought I would throw up a deck..not vomit it up so much as construct a It will be 1/4 of the size of our other deck..

square up the outside..put in the joists..then slide the structure over into place to get an idea of how it will look…

..looks good..go inside for a drink and when I open the door to start work again:

..little stunt dog…ChunJae is amazed..she is standing in her ‘I want to come in’ spot…not long now ChunJae!

..the doorway entry seems too high..On my second time in I caught my foot and stumbled in..I can imagine what would happen with drunk men..and build another smaller layer..

Still needs some final work but the base structre is done for this year!

slow and steady! WIth the (bare) necessities done inside we are doing more QoL fixes..(Quality of LIfe)..we did not NEED a new deck but we wanted one..once we actually have some grass again it will really loook good!

Wow, very modern looking! I like how you switched the direction of the deck boards on each level. That really bumps up the visual impact.

Loki truly has no fear. That’s the sort of thing our cats would attempt, but our dogs would be sitting out by ChunJae.

yeah, like Seinfeld..a deck of many levels..yes switching up the direction does look good and I would like to say it was planned that way..but it was due to the support structure more than anything else!..and yes Loki is fearless..except when it comes to any noise at night where she goes off on a barking tangent!..we are working on it! hehe
