That’s a Wrap

19 Nov

Vapor is just like duct tape for us is a picture of the wood wrapped up to keep it dry and close for when we start burning hardwood..

And we had a winter issue to deal with..the chickens have an inside run with an outdoor area..but we always worry about them being we took part of the ‘chick’ pen from the summer, wrapped it with vapor barrier, put it in a sunny spot and attached a roof..then an access to the pen…so the chickens now have a sunroom which should be nice and warm on sunny days..and they can go in and out as they like.

..some future enhancements…a better roof area to prevent water from pooling and moving the waterer in so it does not freeze in the winter…soon.

Chickie does not seem to understand that it is actually warmer inside the sunroom!

Chicken sun-room! Ha, love it. I would imagine that will help a lot with keeping water thawed when it is sunny.

..yeah thats what we are thinkin..need to decide where to put it so the chickens don’t make a mess of it or tip it over..our current waterers have no hanging attachment..more soon!

welcome to the vb party, we did the porch, a roof on a shed and i will be making an atv park for the winter partly out of vp…. nice job though – looking nice and neat, your chickens should be more impressed!!!

I like the chickie sun-room too, and seeing stacked wood warms my heart. We’ve nearly cut all our wood for winter. We like to cut it close, pardon the pun.

I also don’t need to be sold on VB. It’s awesome. You cannot believe the stuff we’ve built with it either LOL. It kept me sane during our upstairs renovations. Never underestimate what a piece of plastic can do.
