Storms Show Up for a Visit

10 Feb

Welcome home snow..while we have appreciated the stability you brought to the driveway it is better to arrive in smaller amounts..not a 2 day 50cm ordeal.

A* digs out to the partial plow on day 1.

..beautiful untouched, deep snow. The car being up here is going to be postponed…

We shovelled out yesterday and ran the truck down the driveway but today the truck was making ruts only so we had to bring out the big guns to drag out behind the truck..

the guns in this case being a freshly sawn down fir tree to drag behind the truck. So we made 6 passes back and forth:

…that is about 14% better! Guess the ‘getting spoiled’ portion of this winter is over.

That snow is beautiful. It’s been muddy here pretty much all winter… yuck.

WOW! That is a lot of snow. Do you have to go to work when it is that bad?

you need to train the dogs to roll up and down the driveway – try planting little maples up and down the road ;-))

you did say you welcomed storms – did they bring their own beer?

..or turn them into sled dogs! You are correct..I did say that we welcome storms but they have now oficially worn out their welcome

LOL. At least the dogs seems to be enjoying themselves.

And you know it’s a bad storm when you go out during the storm to shovel, because you know full-well if you wait until it stops snowing, you’ll be stranded until March.

    Winter’s a bitch like that.

yep..this was a 2 day storm and it is much easier to shovel in smaller amounts..but with the drifting being as bad as it was it did not make a difference..As it is the car has been a WAYS away from the house..I had gotten the snow packed down pretty good until an ATV rutted it all up on a day when it was about piss offs. Ah well!
