We decided to to some unofficial training..I call it unofficial because generally speaking the gym frowns upon drinking beer in their establishments during a workout.
I don’t have any ‘before’ shots of the railway ties sitting in front of the shed..but they have been there for quite some time..first there was 2 piles of 25..then we used some as deck supports..then a couple of them to block off the side of the shed so Loki would stop whining trying to get at the groundhog who was under our shed for a day..( Loki looked for him under the shed for 2 weeks though..(Loki has a good memory but her deductive reasoning needs some work)
Anyway, the railway ties have been a yard fixture for 2 years so today A* and I moved them..we wanted the grass to grow and in the next couple of weeks we are going to try to erect something for the grapes to cling onto..something higher that is solid enough to last for years..
We moved them around 100 ft to the side of the house near the woodsplitting area..and some of them were very wet and very HEAVY as a result..what a workout. We spaced them a little more so they could get some air and dry out..plus it reminded me of Jenga and A* had to stop me from building a tower.
A* and the dogs..things actually look summery now.
.. the doctor prescribed a hole in the ground to burn things and to sit around after dark drinking beers and singing songs..and who am I to say no!
..and a planted tree update..the Lilac, Black Locust and Mountain Ash are all thriving..( the Black Locust is behind the bird bath )..it did take a while for the tree to start off ( I actually had thought it was dead) but it really is starting to get bushy.
Finally took a drive by the shipping container church and saw it was in a finished state so we snapped a picture or 2. I guess it is more of a shipping container storage unit but interesting idea..not really suitable to live in but with some insulation, windows and a door it would make an interesting shelter. Sure would be secure.
I don’t think I would want to attend a service at this church though…unless I was a sardine.
