Went blueberry picking with the family..and A* and I overpicked on purpose..to make a batch of blueberry anise jam..
..the blueberries were plentiful, plump and purple..OK, blue…but they were yummy…about 1/2 hour after starting we had around 10lbs,
..boil the berries with the spices..add extra sugar boil some more then add pectin..The most complicated part about making jam is preparing the mason jars!
..and the 12 finished jars of jam..we made some with basil, thyme and some with rosemary as well..a first batch of blueberry jam for us so we did not want to overcomplicate things.
