Weather and Quill Reruns

16 Feb

February in the wild winter has not been so great.. Unless you like snowstorms.

.. And to add insult to injury while out on a walk Loki stuck her head into a porcupine den where they were hibernating and we had to take her to emergency in the middle of the storm to take out a quill we missed (or she broke it off before I jumped her) that was underneath her skin and migrating towards her eye.. Again.

After the procedure the drugs Loki had for her surgery made the trip from the gate to the house in thigh deep snow was quite the one point I would have liked to have had a dead Taunton for a rest point.

I feel your pain. This winter has been a bugger (not my first choice of words, but I think you get the idea). It’s been painfully cold, too. And if I check the radar, it looks like another storm is bearing down on NS… We’re just on the edge of the system. What’s 5 cm more at this point?

Hope you guys are hanging in there. It doesn’t look like we have a choice.

I am so happy we don’t have porcupines here. Hope Loki is all healed up now.

A little more snow is not going to make a difference at this point. Yes Loki is on the mend, nice to hear from you guys still getting back into the swing of things here… More soon,!

That is a lot of snow. Poor Loki. It’s hard when you have love affairs with porcupines and they don’t understand cuddling rules.

.. That snow was a joke.. We really got snow after that snow. Most snow I have ever sen in the area this year. Loki is all good a month later, no issues!..Loki does not always understand the rules of cuddling either.. Too licky and demanding! Hehe
