Beginning to Look

A* and I are going to take things to the next level as far as pursuing our idea of getting rid of the house an moving to a smaller place and going off the grid…and I have started to look at places online and making a list. Not even sure what we want right now..is it a camp? Is it a house that is small? Is it only land? We have settled in on some thoughts as to what we need..and everything else after that is gravy..and give and take. Here is the short list:

3 acres minimum..give enough room and flexibility

within 45 minutes of our hometown where we both work

under 50000 to start as we think we will make that much on the sale of our house

other than that there is not much..we could buy land only and look to pay less or we could go over the budget and buy something more expensive if things looked really good..all of these things are subject to change but for now we have a list to start with.

As I mentioned..started to look online and from there we will start going to look at places. We still have some renovating to do on our current home..painting, a new bathroom, new floor in kitchen, new floor in entryway..and some other stuff too so it will be a balancing act for a while..I also will need to set up a line of credit so that if we ever do find something we can move fast if we need to.
