The other week I was messing with my binoculars and was trying to take some shots with my camera through the eyepiece.. With mixed results. Too wobbly and hard to hold in place. Got me thinking that there must be something online which could do something to help..
The apparatus attaches on to the eyepieces and an adjustable area designed for phone cameras allows a user to look at the (attached) phone screen and take pictures with a greatly enhanced zoom.
Took about 2 minutes to get the snapzooms attachment on to the binoculars and a couple more minutes to get the phone aligned correctly ( the phone took the pictures so no pictures with the phone attached).
The before shot:
.. And the 2 shots using snapzooms:
You will need a tripod (or a beer case) to make the shot steady.. These shots were through the day to day 15×70 binoculars and they are fairly heavy so the shots were unusable due to slight movement. Before I attach the snapzooms to my 25x100s I will bring out my tripod.
More results soon.. I need to wait for some sunny days and something to take pictures of something which is worth taking pictures of.. Not that my garbage bin is not beautiful.
